AquaAbility Adaptive Swim Program

Adaptive Swim Clinic

AquaAbility Adaptive Swim Program

Where Ability Moves Beyond Limits!

Our pediatric adaptive aquatic therapy program provides specialized instruction for children with neuromotor conditions including cerebral palsy, hypotonia (low muscle tone), and developmental delays. Through evidence-based aquatic intervention, we support improved postural control, motor planning, and functional mobility in a warm, therapeutic environment.

While addressing each child's unique therapeutic needs, our program simultaneously develops essential survival swim skills—including respiratory control and breath holding, supine flotation with roll-to-back recovery, and swim-float-swim sequences.

Our Approach

Beyond Water Comfort

  • AquaAbility is built on the belief that every adaptive swimmer deserves real water safety skills—not just water exposure.
  • While many adaptive programs focus primarily on acclimation and sensory experiences, our approach goes beyond comfort to teach genuine survival techniques and foster true independence in the water.
  • We prioritize open, ongoing communication with your child's therapy team—keeping you and your child's therapists informed every step of the way.

Intensive Swim Programs

Our intensive swim programs are thoughtfully designed for children with developmental delays, including cerebral palsy, who benefit from consistent, supportive practice.

Through short, daily lessons, children have the opportunity to build skills step by step in a calm, encouraging environment. This steady routine helps improve comfort in the water, develop motor skills, and build confidence at a pace that works for each child.

With frequent repetition and individualized support, children are able to make meaningful progress—gaining not just swim skills, but greater independence and increased water safety.
